Alternative To A Valentine's Day Card

Over at Country View Crafts February's Challenge is a 30 minute time challenge - GULP. I can spend weeks faffing without even getting midway through a project so this really was a challenge!!
I had just received some awesome large tags from Woodform Crafts  (they are a dream to work with- as are the other items I have brought from them).I put a coat of DecoArt Tinting paint - wow great coverage and so quick drying . Then using a brayer built several quick coats of Pyrole Red and Diarylide Yellow Acrylic paint layers .
After  a blast with the heat tool onto the Carabella Studios"Man and Bird" stamps  (heart stamp and sentiment stamped together) with Versamark and clear heat embossed. The sentiment stamp is so appropriate for this time of year and will save me making a Valentine's Day card  :)  :)
OK time is ticking - an edge or stencils ....to add a little bit of a finish - no time for both...

Edging won - scrap piece of paper alignment with cutting mat, more tinting base ...
By the skin of my teeth DONE .... no seconds spare to add fibres or ribbon  :(
Well it was good fun - no time to over - think and although I would have done more and coated the whole with Matte medium I quite like my tag  :)  :)
Whew photo heavy post THANK YOU for dropping by xx

My Buzz-y Life - Altered Diary cover

Well better late than never - at least there's still 11 and 1/2 months left of 2017  :)    :)
I have no photos of the process sorry. I began with a Brushos background in Purple, attached to the front of the diary and sealed with DecoArt Matt Medium. Crafters Workshop stencil - mini Busy Bees was used for the hive and background bees and trails. I drew around the hive with a pencil and whitened the area before painting with DecoArt paints.
The stencil was positioned over the hive and DecoArt black gesso stencilled  onto the cover.
The Title and year were computer generated and image transferred onto cover.
The textured edges are DecoArt Texture paste. Painted black, silver and the dabs of purple are Luminarte Twinkling H2O's.
Lots of layers of matte medium through and over the top once the Fussy cut Stampotique Bees (Jo Capper Sandon), were stamped, coloured with alcohol inks, glamour dust applied via cocktail stick to wings fussy cut and positioned onto the diary.

Whew - thank you for looking - would love to hear from you :)
