Unicorn Magic

With the cooler, wet days we a now having  I guess I longed for the sun to return .... I always feel more energised and content when the sun is shinning without it well I need some magic to lift my spirits!
Lots of painty layers, splatters, and stencilling.

The "Silver Bling" paint added to the background and then the layer added to the top edge of the Unicorn and over the word MAGIC makes this piece very sparkly and not my usual style at all!!
I think The Quinacridone Burnt Orange edge frames the Unicorn nicely.

Thank you for dropping by x

"Dream"

I got "lost" in decorating so no how too pictures I am afraid but as I was inspired by Kate Crane .

The paint layers were added wet on wet using a brayer and starting from lightest colours first - if I found an area I didn't like I went over again with White tinting base, and built layers again - I found the lighter my touch the more I could layer and not be dismayed!

Once the painty base was done I stencilled some numbers, circles and crosses using colours already used and then outlined with Titanium white and a small paintbrush. Flourish stamp to edges.  VLV Banksy Girl with Umbrella stamped onto tissue and embossed. Painting the reverse side with paints,  adhered using Matte Medium.

The "DREAM" was  Initially black texture paste - I managed to let some seep under the stencil so decided to go over with White Gesso. Now I thought it wasn't the effect I wanted so coloured over with a turquoise and white mix! Finally Primary Magenta applied to edges.

Thank you for stopping by - have a lovely week x
